Dark Knight Shooter James Holmes Tried To Hurt Himself In ‘Half-Hearted Suicide Attempt’

Mass murder suspect James Holmes was taken to the hospital this week after reportedly running headfirst into his jail cell wall, in what has been described by police as a "half-hearted suicide attempt," RadarOnline.com has learned.
The alleged shooter, who is accused of killing 12 and wounding 58 during a premiere showing of The Dark Knight Rises on July 20 in Aurora, Colorado, was due in court on Thursday, however court documents were filed simply stating that his condition "renders him unable to be present in court for the hearing," reported CBS4 Denver.
"It's not as simple as a migraine, and it's not something that will resolve by tomorrow morning," is all that defense attorney Tamara Brady would reveal regarding her client's health, but it was enough for Arapahoe County District Judge William B. Sylvester to delay the hearing until December 10.
While the Arapahoe County undersheriff wouldn't comment on how Holmes was hurt, sources told KOAA that Holmes stood on his bed and fell backwards this past Tuesday, apparently trying to crack his head open. He followed that by running headfirst into his jail cell wall and on a third try to hurt himself, hit his head against the wall.
As RadarOnline.com previously reported, the 24-year-old was seeing a psychiatrist before the shooting rampage, and his mental health has been an issue in the case ever since his lawyers told the judge in early August that Holmes was mentally ill, although they have not yet said whether he will enter an insanity plea.
